Ravenswood scholarships – Ravenswood is offering a quiet number of scholarships to its students. This covers both the returning and new students who have just been admitted. The scholarship would cover the expenses of the students, both the part-time and full-time scholarship beneficiaries.

Music Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • The scholarships are for girls entering years 7 and 11, respectively, in 2022.

  • Support is welcomed from top musicians to support different music programmes that would award scholarships to applicants.

Application requirements:

Below are the requirements that every applicant must:

  • Complete the music scholarship application
  • Submit transcripts of all the examinations taken within the last two years of study.
  • School reports from the last two years must also be submitted. 
  • Submit references from their music tutors
  • A letter of purpose; why you would like to be a music scholar at Ravenswood. 

All supporting documents are to be submitted alongside the application. The institution will conduct auditions. The auditions will cover some aspects of music. Also, applicants should expect to perform at the interview session. 

Final assessments are made by the decision makers to choose from the top-performing applicants. 

Scholarship worth:

  • For students entering Year 7 or Year 11, a music scholarship at Ravenswood pays all or a part of the academic tuition fees.
  • The scholarship does not include core curriculum fees, fees associated with the curriculum, enrollment fees, and other payable fees. Yearly scrutiny would be conducted for all applicants. 
  • In addition to participating in the school’s ensemble program, successful students will take an elective music course through Year 12.
  • The selection committee for the auditions has the exclusive right to decline any applicant.

Kim Buchan All Rounder Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who show all round commitment and ability in the affairs of the school and towards their studies. This is approved by the principal and is full tuition. Currently, applications for the 2022 scholarships are closed. 

Eligibility criteria:

  • The scholarship is for girls entering Year 7 in 2022
  • Applicants must take the Scholarship Exam conducted by Academic Assessment Services
  • The scholarships are valid for current Ravenswood students or a girl commencing Year 7 in 2022.

Essential documents for the scholarship

  1. A handwritten cover letter explaining in detail why the applicant believes she could be considered for the scholarship. A4 size should be the maximum size of the latter.
  2. The applicant must show their two most recent academic results. 
  3. A Curriculum Vitae covers all the applicant’s outstanding works and experiences. 

When the 2023 scholarships open, supporting documents will be uploaded on the Academic Assessment Services website, together with the application.

Scholarship Value: Academic Tuition Fees for Years 7–12.

Ravenswood Rural Residential Scholarship

This scholarship is given to a student who has shown exceptional dedication, talent, and involvement in school activities. The principal will decide whether to grant this.

The deadline for the 2022 Ravenswood Scholarship has passed.

Eligibility:

  • The scholarship is for girls entering Year 7 in 2022
  • Applicants must take the Scholarship Exam conducted by Academic Assessment Services.
  • Applicants must reside in regional NSW or a regional area of an Australian state or territory
  • Applications are accepted without minding if the applicant is currently enrolled. 

The application must include:
