We are happy to announce that applications to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge are currently being accepted for the 2024/2025 school year.
The goal of this master’s degree program at the University of Cambridge is to help bright students from Africa get their degrees, develop their leadership skills, and have a positive impact on climate resilience and sustainability in Africa and beyond.
Aside from the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Corporate Law (MCL), and Master of Finance (MFin), the program provides funding for study across all of Cambridge’s academic departments.
Eligibility For The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program
- You must be a citizen of an African nation and an ordinary resident of an African country, with the exception of cases where you can demonstrate temporary absence for study/work with the intention to return or if you have been forcibly relocated.
- Must be submitting an application to the University of Cambridge for a Master’s degree program lasting up to a year.
Application Process
An application to the University of Cambridge must be submitted via the course directory before the funding deadline in order to be considered for admission. https://www.postgraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/courses
The application for funding is imbedded in the course application process.
Prospective scholars for the University of the Western Cape Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2024 for Young Africans will need to include a personal statement in their applications that details how they want to help build a future for Africa that is both climate-resilient and sustainable.
Timeline:
- For courses having a 5th of December 2023 deadline, the application deadline is the 5th of January 2024, and vice versa for courses with a 5th of January 2024 deadline.
- Keep the application’s financing deadline in mind at all times.
