St. Clare’s Scholarship Scholarships available
This is a scholarship valid for ages 11 and 12 only. This opportunity covers other wide range of opportunities like the:
- Principal’s Scholarship
- Health and physical education scholarship
- Faith and community scholarship and
- Arts and culture scholarship
Principal’s Scholarship
The above-mentioned St. Clare’s scholarship opportunities are available only to those between the ages of 11 and 12.
A principal’s Scholarship is given to a returning or new student who shows outstanding academic achievement and progress but whose current situation prevents them from furthering at the College.
This Scholarship will cover their tuition fee 100%, including Levies, specifically for Years 11 and 12. All additional and recurring expenditures, such as excursions, the formal and uniforms etc., are not to be considered as part of this Scholarship.
As a part of the scholarship application process, it is a requirement that the student’s guardians or parent(s) complete the concession paperwork provided by the College, which you can obtain from the Accounts Department (Accounts@stcc.act.edu.au).
Requirements Needed For St. Clare’s Scholarship
- A Health Care Card
- Pension Card
- Taxation Notice of Assessment for the last year.
- All bank statements (in either the parent/guardian’s name) showing all the balances for the past four (4) weeks
- Evidence of Child Support Payments, they should present pay slips from both parents (if applicable)
- Income statement from the Family Assistance Office
Arts and culture scholarships
The College offers scholarships to new and continuing students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability in the area of Arts and Culture. The successful applicants would be mandated to undertake a major in Arts at the Tertiary level and participate in College productions.

This Scholarship will cover 50% of the school fees, including the College Levies for Years 11 and 12. Additional expenses such as excursions over $25, formal tickets and uniforms etc., are not included as part of this Scholarship.
Faith and community scholarships
The successful applicant must have been active to be involved in the faith and spiritual life at the College. This means they must not be found wanting to participate in College Masses, Year level liturgies and reflection days and support junior students in their faith journey.
The successful applicant must also undertake a major in Religion study at the Tertiary level as part of their senior package; these are all free.

Health and physical education scholarships
The College offers scholarships to students who have demonstrated outstanding ability in the area of Health and Physical Education. Successful applicants are required to perform as elite athletes and represent the College or an external sporting club at a senior level.
This student is required to be a positive spokesperson for the College, mentor/coach of junior sporting teams and assist with the organisation of College sporting events. The student must continue to retain a high academic standard while participating in their chosen sport and undertaking a Tertiary package.
This scholarship will cover 50% of the school fees, including the College Levies for Years 11 and 12. Additional expenses such as excursions over $25, formal tickets and uniforms etc., are not included as part of this Scholarship.
Requirements and eligibility for Senior Scholarships
- Applicants must commit to being enrolled in Years 11 and 12 at the College without refusal.
- High academic results are expected of the candidates in records.
- They must agree to abide by the rules of the College and uphold its value.
- They must have had an excellent attendance record in the past.
- No record of violation of the College’s rules and regulations in the past. The College takes this seriously and may deny the applicant the chance to get a scholarship.
- Applicants must demonstrate leadership and support other students in the College.
How to apply for the St. Clare’s Scholarship
Follow the steps to apply for the Scholarship.
Provide the College with a portfolio of your recent and old achievements, including:
- Copies of school reports from the last two years
- NAPLAN results, including another external testing; competitions you have been through.
- Personal Statement/essay (300 words) detailing: Background and experience within strength area/s of your skills or talents.
- Show proof of contribution to current school programs, including any co-curricular activities you’re involved in.
- Referee statements to support claims.
St. Clare’s Scholarship Deadline
Deadline: The Scholarship closes application acceptance around March to May of every year. If you’re interested in the Scholarship at this point, you have to consider applying for it next year, 2023.
